Empty Bowls

The Empty Bowls fundraiser is a global event connected with a grassroots movement that fights hunger, brings awareness to local food security issues, and raises funds for programs that address these issues.

Because the purpose of this global event aligns with our organization’s work and values, CHEP Good Food has been hosting Empty Bowls, both in-person and virtually, since 2017! When in-person, community members gather for an evening of reflection, good food, and community connectiveness. In the past, the fundraiser has included the following:

  • Handcrafted pottery bowls
  • Woven napkins
  • Locally produced and prepared soups and chili’s
  • Artisan bread
  • Local musician’s and speakers
  • Silent auction

This event is generously supported by many local organizations and businesses, without whom we would not be able to host this fundraiser. All funds raised go directly back into CHEP’s programming, which allows us to continue our mission of working with children, families and communities to improve access to good food and promote food security.
